Moonfire Film Productions produces science & wildlife documentary films and operates the Big Green Screen Theatre at the Tom Ridge Environmental at Presque Isle State Park.
Our goal is to produce a series of films about Northwestern Pennsylvania's wildlife and field research. These films will show in the Big Green Screen Theatre, and be used for educational programming by the park and area school districts. We partner with many organizations to accomplish our goals.
The Big Green Screen has a 40 foot tall screen, can project 70mm & 35mm film, as well as digital images. See the signature film: "Mysteries of the Great Lakes" by Science North, one of the other films in our rotation, or visit us for our wildlife film festival: "TREC on the Wild Side" held every winter.
Moonfire Film Productions upholds scientific and cinemagraphic excellence in their films. They are part of a new generation of filmmakers educated in both science and cinematography to ensure not only outstanding films, but a scientifically accurate ones as well. In these environmentally uncertain times, up-to-date and clear communication in the media is key. Together we can educate a brighter future.
